Kick the Buddy is a game that features a digital pet in the form of an annoying little sack-character. Rather than feed, play with, and educate him, your aim is to hurt him with whatsoever possible . It all seems very terrible but however, within just a minute against the Buddy will be enough to fuel your dislike towards him. His constant mockeries will poke you, like asking “is that it; is that all you can do?”. Here is when you explode, destroy, fire, shoot, freeze, send the ‘Power of Gods’ towards him and that would be only the beginning.
You can choose between firearms, biological weapons, and even Godly powers. There are 16 categories in total, most of which include around 20 individual weapons. The buddy can’t do anything back apart from tease and taunt, so it’s up to you to be as creative as possible. Though there is some form of progression system, where you earn money the more you hurt the character which can then be used to purchase better weapons, there’s very little else to do aside from taping the screen in order to launch your chosen weapon. Still, Kick the Buddy manages to entertain you through comedy and originality. Even though the character is often times annoying, it must all be considered as a part of the act.
Kick the Buddy will definitely will affect in taking out your frustrations. Torturing, beating, exploding and stabbing the defenseless character has helped so many to relieve a part of their stress. The game is all in good humor and isn’t meant to be taken seriously, but the gruesome graphics may not be for everyone. Along with earning cash, players can also work hard to complete objectives and earn achievements. One bonus feature that many players enjoy is the ability to add somebody’s face into the buddy.
