Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice – Part 21: Great Shinobi Owl
If you reloaded your save, you’ll be right where you left off. Go to the Divine Heir again and talk to Owl. This time do not obey him. Choose the second option and a fight will kick off.
This is a two-phase fight. He is not as fast as Isshin but he will throw some firecrackers and swing from time to time. If this hits it will not only do a ton of damage but it will also murder your posture. He also likes throwing shurikens and anti-healing bombs. When he throws these bombs, a good thing to do is to go behind him and use Ichimonji: Double. Ichimonji: Double is highly recommended for this fight.
For phase 1 do enough deflects so you can deathblow him via a posture kill.
For phase 2 it is a little bit easier to beat him with just pure health damage just because you have to back off constantly.
With Owl killed head back inside and hit the idols. Then, talk to Kuro. This is the path you’re going to be taking for all three other endings.
There’s a couple of different things you need to do in terms of progressing ending. First, make sure you’ve done the eavesdrop at Emma and Isshin. It’s 100% important.
Go and rest at the idol. Emma will show up. Talk to Emma and Kuro until they finish what they have to say and finally burn the incense. Go around to eavesdrop and reset the world state one more time. Head on upstairs. Find Emma and talk again.
Tell her you agree. Kuro cannot be allowed to die. Reset and talk to Emma again. Get what she gives you and travel to Old Grave.
Yes, there’s Emma again. She says she’ll meet with Orangutan, which is the Sculptor’s old nickname. From there travel back to the Dilapidated Temple.
Eavesdrop.
Talk to Emma. Ask what she is hiding.
There are three other endings that you’re able to achieve. You have to go to Hirata – Senpou Temple, Mt. Kongo. Talk to the girl, get some rice and reset the world state. She’ll be gone. Go to the white energy shown in the picture below and travel to where it brings you.
Find the girl again and listen to what she has to say. Then turn back and travel to Main Hall.
What you want to do here is finding Holy Chapter: Dragon’s Return.
Once you get that, head back to the Last Communed Idol (Senpou Temple). Talk to the girl again and give her the Persimmon. Reset two times and take the Frozen Tears from her. Lastly, travel to the Dilapidated Temple. Now, you have the item that you need to do this ending.
Proceed to Part 22: Father.
Go back to Part 20: Shura.
