Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice – Part 23: Fountainhead Palace
Now that you have taken out Owl, head on over to the Wedding Cave Door in Ashina Depths. Additionally, if you ended up consuming rice, make sure you go back to the Inner Sanctum and get some more. Only that now you won’t get normal rice but Fine Snow, which is basically rice except it’s better.
Go to the waterfall, pray and welcome Giant Rope Man The Almighty. We admit it. He looks pretty weird, but hey, weird is cool most of the time isn’t it?
The Rope Man will help you climb the hill where your old friend The Corrupted Monk is waiting to have a fight with you. This is a three-phase fight but not a hard one. What you may need is Okinaga’s Flame Vent and Oil. The first phase is going to be identical to the Corrupted Monk you’ve already fought. For phase two you can rope up to the tree and deathblow him instantly from above. Phase three is about the same except that a Centipede will come out of him and throw up stuff that inflicts terror.
With the Dragon’s Tally Board you get from him, you can now get all kinds of goodies from all merchants.
Enhance your attack power at the idol, rest and reach out Fountainhead Palace. There’s a lot of water here, but it’s a bad decision to swim because you’ll get hit by lightning strikes. Take a look around and notice those different looking enemies called Nobles. Although they’re easy to kill, Nobles launch some sort of energy that drains your vitality and if that goes off you’re dead.
If you go to the rooftops you’ll notice some different Nobles. These ones fight back but they’re still easy ones. Use Sabimaru and things will get even easier. Grab items and kill until you get Water Of Palace, which is found right inside the chest shown below:
You can take Water of Palace to the guy back in Mibu Village and he will give you a bunch of Carp Scales.
Hit the idol of Fountainhead Palace and travel to Wedding Cave Door. Enter the building surrounded by enemies from under and don’t even bother fighting those guys. Talk to the merchant inside and give him the Water of Palace. He will in return give you Dragonspring Sake. Reset and visit him again. He’s now transformed. Kill him and get the 5 Treasure Carp Scales. From there, head on back to the Last Communed Idol and travel to Abandoned Dungeon – Underground Waterway.
The two red-eye ninjas are very hard to fight at the same time. It’s a good idea to take them out separately. They’re weaker that way.
Lastly, travel back to the Dilapidated Temple and check the upgrades you’re getting.
Proceed to Part 24: Flower Viewing Stage.
Go back to Part 22: Father.
