Grandpa is a survival horror game developed by Zap Zap. The storyline is pretty much same as in Granny. You start off waking up in a house you can’t recognize as Grandpa caught you and locked you in his home. Strange things are happening in the house and you have to find a way to survive and get out of the house. There are a lot of puzzles in the game, and they all interact with each other. You have to solve the puzzles inside the house and advance in your way of getting out of the spooky surroundings. Sometimes your character may be so scared that he’ll have to close his eyes. After calming down, the character will open his eyes and you’ll be able to proceed once again. You can hide in wardrobes or under the desks. Be aware that if you drop something, Grandpa hears it instantly and will come after you running.
The similarities between Grandpa and Granny are so many that’s actually difficult to distinguish the differences. In both games you must unlock the displayed puzzles inside the creepy houses and get out before they caught you. Both games are intense and they relay a marvelously involving horror gaming experience. In Grandpa likewise there isn’t much on how to play, so the most of it really is “learn by doing.” Two very fundamental aspects of these games are concentration and patience. You must not make premature actions and you must choose your itinerary very carefully; Without forgetting where you leave things, since you can only carry one thing at a time and what you’re holding for the moment may not be what you need to solve a current part of the escape puzzle. If you encounter some type of syringes, stick it into the grandpa and neutralize him for a certain amount of time. You should be able to find syringes hidden around the house which can disable Grandpa for a little while and let you run around without having to worry about how much noise you’re making, but he’ll definitely wake up again eventually. Staying alive may be the purpose of the plot, but it’s not exactly integral to the game’s goal. Every time you die, the game automatically saves your progress and allows you to get a little bit further after every time. Before starting don’t forget to turn up the sound.
