Hexologic Puzzle Game Walkthrough

Beautiful relaxing puzzle

Hexologic is an easy to learn and highly addictive logic puzzle game. The game is played by navigating a cursor across a hexagon-based puzzle grid. The goal is to fill it with numbers that meet the conditions which are outlined along the external compass of the hex. Each hex may be in four different states: one dot, two dots, three dots, and empty, though empty isn’t really a valid state. Around the outside of each pile of hexes are a few numbers, indicating how much dots in the corresponding lines of hexes need to add up to. I.e, if there’s a number 6 on the edge of the cluster, and there are two hexes in the line attached to that number, each hex would need three dots in it. You can’t complete the puzzle if any of the hexes is empty. These conditions specify the total number that all the numbers in that row need to add up to. The player uses only three commands to play in order to correspond to the numbers 1, 2, and 3. Although this sounds simple, trying to figure out where to place each digit can be tricky, especially in the later stages. The gameplay definitely hooks you up right away and you’ll absolutely love solving each of the puzzles throughout the stage-based campaign. There’s a steady difficulty curve too even if you’re a puzzle game rookie.

Hexologic reinvents the rules of Sudoku based on hexagonal grids. Combining the dots with the hexagons is a rewarding experience for both puzzle game veterans and also newcomers. The simple gameplay mechanics decorated with beautiful graphic design, relaxing music and superable challenging puzzles vouch for many hours of fun for all ages. There are over 60 (+15 special stages) levels separated in 4 completely different worlds, where each has unique gameplay mechanics.

The best thing about Hexologic, is that you can’t actually fail no matter how hard you try. You can take your time and mess up the numbers as long as you want. There is no time limit and whenever you place an incorrect number, there are no consequences at all. In the end Hexologic remains a must-have game for any fan of the genre. It may be short on content but the clever gameplay and smooth screening make it an enjoyable brief experience.
