Choices – Stories You Play
Simulation
#1
Choices is a free story app released by Pixelberry Studios, the mastermind behind popular simulation mobile games such as: High School Story, Hollywood U and Episodes. Choices brings storytelling to a whole new level, with interesting visuals and sound effects. The app is quite similar to its sister app, Episode, where both apps serve the same purpose: giving players the CHOICE to control their stories. Episode has an astounding catalog of stories from every genre from romance to horror, and includes a writer’s portal that allows users to create their own stories. Choices Stories you Play, has become a quite popular game nowadays. People love the plot twists, the stories, and the fact that they can follow their own path in the game. You can choose which character to be, what story to follow, and what lead in the story would be the most exciting for you.
Choices – Stories you play is a game where the player totally controls the progress. The game is pretty distinctive and has a totally new player-choice based incorporation on it. The storyline is controlled exclusively by the player and after each play something new can come out unexpectedly. The graphics are amazing while the characters look even more attractive and astounding. Every detail is expressed nicely through the added dialogues making the story simply captivating. The player literally controls the whole drama and the simulation involved is pleasing and not predictable at all.
Just like in reality, one choice can change everything! The importance of one choice can make you fall in love, solve crimes or get you into fancy troubles. Only the player can control what happens inside each story. The game’s dynamics can put you simultaneously in some choice hesitation and that’s a main achievement. The anticipation of the unknown will make you come back to this game everyday. Although the gameplay might be considered pretty simple, still this game is really addictive, especially if you love role playing type of games. The game will take you back again to your story once you open it again in your device. Although, if you wish you can change to another story, by hitting the home button. This will exit the story you were on and you won’t lose the progress you’d made so far.
Like any other game apps, Choices has its downfalls. The game remains enjoyable for those who get hooked on certain storylines, taking into account that the visuals don’t change much and a lot of what’s happening in the stories has to be described by written text without any corresponding visuals. This often feels stilted and weird. Also getting from one piece of dialogue to the next can be annoyingly slow. The main issue would be the lack of keys and slow refill times. Premium choices (best scenes, fancy clothes etc.) that costs too many gems has also brought up many unhappy voices. Pixelberry should give readers the options to earn more gems (instead of giving just 1 gem at the end of each chapter) through ad playing or downloading other apps/games. Alternatively, the cost of premium choices could be lowered. If you are a long term player of choice driven mobile games, you might realize the similarities between Choices and EA’s (now defunct) Surviving High School and Cause of Death. This is because the team behind SHS and Choices are in fact the same! These talented group of people left EA and set up Pixelberry Studios, which has went on to find its own success today. The team has 10 years of story creation under their belt so expect nothing but excellence from them.
Choices from Pixelberry Studios is essentially a new take on the formula of role-playing and that explains all the buzz around it. Feel free to try this exciting game by downloading it by clicking below:
